Mediaflux Explorer how to videos

This page contains video guides for the Mediaflux Explorer (java client).

1 Getting and opening the MF Explorer

Video is for the java executable, self contained installers for Windows and Mac are also available and recommended.


2 Login and browse

**WARNING SERVER ADDRESS IN VIDEO IS OLD, COPY AND PASTE DETAILS BELOW**

Login details:

University of Melbourne (UoM) staff and students should now log in with their UoM credentials

To login with your UoM credential

  • You must enter the protocol (https) and server/port details first (detailed above the video)
  • Enter unimelb (staff accounts) or student (student accounts) into the Domain entry field
  • Enter your usual institutional username (for the user field) and password (for the password field and click “Sign In ”.

This example is for a staff account.

The video demonstrates logging in with AAF credentials.

* NB: Mediaflux Explorer 1.3.27 on Windows can have an issue with dragging files into the upload window as described in this video. Use the alternate upload procedure described at 56 seconds into the video if you experience this issue.
